The rain held off probably because it was blowing too hard!

In a wind affected race Gregan Clarkson of KUHAC beat Mike Hargreaves and Alec Gibson in a time of 32:31.  The ladies race was won by Sara Rookyard (38:10) from Beverley Jackson and Corinna Turner.

Handicap leaders as follows: Malcolm Barber (95 points), Linda Huart (89), Tony Alcock (85).

First couple of miles out had the benefit of of a backwind and those of us that were reliant upon Peter (call me Michael Fish) Dearing’s forecast that the wind would reverse by 1945 were sorely disappointed! The final two miles were hard work into the wind and up to the finish line.

212 finishers enjoyed the event with a large post race crowd enjoying a drink in the Constable Arms.
