New to the area? Looking for someone to run with? Come on down and try us out for a few weeks.
New and potential recruits of all abilities are always welcome.
Club training sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday nights at six and seven o’clock, just meet at the clubhouse about 10/15 minutes before. There are usually two or three different groups of runners going out at different distances and pace, usually:
- Steady run – about 5 or 6 miles (9-10 minute mile pace; suitable for new runners)
- Long run – about 8 or 9 miles (about 7-8 minute mile pace)
- In winter months, hill or speed training
In summer we organise a handicapped series of eight races on alternate Tuesdays between late April and the end of July, check out our Event Calendar to see when they are!
If you wish to give us a try, come on down and introduce yourself, you’ll be most welcome. We can have a chat and get you running with a group of similar ability! You can always give Paul Nippress (number below) or one of the other committee members a call, their details are on the Committee page.
The club house has both male and female showers and changing & toilet facilities and a kitchen serving hot/cold drinks and snacks.

Subscriptions due 1st October annually
- 18 Years & Over, £29
- Under 18 and full time students 18 to 21, £3
- Active Senior Citizens (65+) £7.50 (after 1 year Full membership)
All above categories plus UK Athletics Registration Fee £13
Non Active Members, £5

Hand completed membership forms in at the clubhouse to a committee member or post to the club secretary with the appropriate entry fee.
